When to extract PDF pages
Sometimes only the two pages with the signature block matter, or just your section of a long report. Sending the whole thing leaves the other person hunting for the relevant part.
This tool collects the pages you pick into a single new PDF.
How to use it
- 1Upload the PDF. Enter the password first if it has one.
- 2Click the pages you need in the preview.
- 3Press "Extract n selected pages".
- 4Open the result and check everything you wanted made it in.
Common questions
- How is this different from deleting pages?
- The result is similar; you just pick from the opposite direction. Extracting is less work when you're keeping a few pages, deleting when you're dropping a few.
- Do pages come out in the order I clicked them?
- No, they follow the original document's order. To rearrange them, run Reorder PDF Pages on the extracted file.
- Does the text become an image?
- No. The pages you pick are carried over as they are, so text stays selectable and searchable.
- I want each page as its own file.
- Use the split-every-page option in Split PDF — it makes one file per page and bundles them into a ZIP.
