When to turn PNGs into a PDF
Screenshots and diagrams often have to be submitted as a document. Sending a folder of PNGs makes the recipient open them one at a time in the right order.
This tool binds PNG images into a single PDF. Each image is centred on an A4 page at its original proportions.
How to use it
- 1Upload the PNGs you want in the PDF. Several at once is fine.
- 2Set the order in the list — the top image becomes the first page.
- 3Press convert to build the PDF.
- 4Open the file and check nothing was cropped.
Common questions
- How is the page size decided?
- A4, turned landscape automatically when the image is wider than it is tall. The image is scaled to fit and centred, keeping its proportions.
- What happens to transparent areas?
- Transparency is carried through, but in most viewers and in print it simply looks like white paper behind the image. If the background matters, set a colour before you upload.
- Can I mix in JPGs?
- This page is for PNGs. Use JPG to PDF for photos.
- The file came out quite large.
- PNG keeps every pixel exactly, which gets heavy for photographs. For photos, save them as JPG first and use JPG to PDF instead.
