When to use a quote or delivery note
A customer asks what something costs, and the answer is usually spoken. Past a certain figure they want it on paper — and then comes the hunt for a template, the misaligned table, and the doubt over whether VAT goes on top.
Here you type the items and prices. Subtotal, VAT and total are worked out and laid onto one A4 page. A seal image, if you have one, is stamped into the supplier box.
How to use it
- 1Choose quote or delivery note.
- 2Fill in the customer and your own business. Turn on Remember and you won't type yours again.
- 3Add a line per item with spec, quantity and unit price.
- 4Pick how VAT is handled, then build and download.
Common questions
- Do my business details go to a server?
- No. The document is built inside the browser. Remember keeps the details in this browser only, and switching it off deletes what was kept.
- What's the difference between plus VAT and VAT included?
- Plus VAT adds ten percent to the prices you typed. VAT included treats the prices as already carrying it and works backwards. Businesses that don't charge it should pick No VAT.
- Why is the total also written in words?
- A figure on its own can be altered later without anyone noticing. Paper forms have printed the amount twice for exactly that reason.
- Will Korean text display correctly elsewhere?
- Yes. The font travels inside the document, so it looks the same on another computer or a phone. Only the characters actually used are included, so the file stays small.
