When to generate a QR code
A QR code is the easy way to put a website on a business card or a booking link on a flyer. Nobody wants to type a long address by hand.
This tool turns an address or a piece of text into a QR code image you can download as a PNG.
How to use it

- 2Press "Create QR code" to see the preview.
- 3Scan it with your phone camera to make sure it reads cleanly.
- 4Press "Download PNG" to save the image.
Common questions
- Does the code expire?
- No. The content is encoded into the image itself, so it keeps working regardless of this site. Of course, if the address it points to disappears, the code becomes useless.
- Can I change where it points later?
- No — the address is baked into the image. If it might change, point the code at a short-link service and update the destination there.
- Will it scan once printed?
- The image is generated at 512 pixels, which is plenty for a business card or flyer. Leave generous white space around it, and always test a printed copy.
- Is what I type sent to a server?
- No. The QR code is generated inside your browser.
