When to rotate PDF pages

Feed a stack through a scanner and a few sheets almost always come out sideways or upside down. You can't really ask the person reading it to tilt their head.

This tool fixes the orientation and saves it. Turn everything at once, or just the pages that came out wrong.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload the PDF. Enter the password first if the file has one.
  2. 2If every page is wrong the same way, use "Rotate all left" or "Rotate all right".
  3. 3If only some pages are off, use the rotate buttons under those thumbnails.
  4. 4Press "Apply rotation and download" to get the corrected file.

Common questions

Does rotating reduce the quality?
No. Nothing is redrawn — only the orientation value stored in the document changes. Text stays selectable and searchable.
Can I rotate by less than 90 degrees?
No, rotation happens in 90-degree steps only. There's no fine adjustment for a scan that came out slightly crooked.
What happens if I rotate an already-rotated page again?
It turns further from where it is now. Four presses bring it back to the start, so watch the preview if you lose track.
It looks upright on screen but prints sideways.
Some viewers ignore the stored orientation. Saving the file through this tool and printing again usually resolves it.
