Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-07-26
1. Files we handle and how long we keep them
PDF Workshop can be used without an account. Most of the tools available today — merging, splitting, page editing, image conversion, passwords, watermarks, e-signatures — never send your file to a server. Everything happens inside your own browser.
For features that genuinely need a server, such as the upcoming PDF compression and Word↔PDF conversion, an uploaded file may be stored temporarily so the conversion can run. Uploaded files and their results are deleted as soon as the job finishes, and anything left behind by an unexpected error is permanently deleted automatically within one hour of upload. When a server-side tool launches, its page will say so explicitly.
2. Information we collect
To improve the service and prevent abuse, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser information, and usage records such as pages visited and times of use. This is used only for statistical analysis and rate limiting, and is never stored in a way that links it to the contents of your files.
3. Advertising
PDF Workshop may use third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense to keep the service free. Ad providers may use cookies to serve personalised ads, and you can refuse cookie storage through your browser settings. Google's advertising and privacy information is available at Google's advertising policies.
4. Information collected through the contact form
If you submit the contact form, we collect your message and, optionally, the reply email address you provide. Contact emails may pass through the Resend service for delivery. This information is used only to answer you and to improve the service, and is destroyed without delay once that purpose is met, except where the law requires us to retain it.
5. Your rights
You can cancel processing at any time by stopping the upload or leaving the page. If you have questions about the service, please get in touch through the contact page.
6. Contact
Service enquiries are handled through the form on the Contact page.
