When to reorder PDF pages
Scans come out shuffled, or a page you added later needs to move to the front. Opening a full editor feels like overkill, and rescanning is worse.
This tool lets you drag thumbnails into the order you want and saves the result as a new PDF.
How to use it
- 1Upload the PDF you want to reorder.
- 2Drag thumbnails into place. Each one shows which position it originally held.
- 3Press "Save in this order".
- 4Open the file and check the sequence is right.
Common questions
- Will the text or formatting break?
- No. Pages are carried over as they are, so text, search, and links generally survive intact.
- Dragging is tedious with a lot of pages.
- For very long documents it can be faster to cut sections apart with Split PDF and then reassemble them in the order you want with Merge PDF.
- I want to remove some pages, not move them.
- Reordering doesn't remove anything. Use Delete PDF Pages to drop them, or Extract PDF Pages to pull out just the ones you need.
- What happens to my original?
- It stays as it is. The reordered version downloads as a separate new file.
