A quote goes out before anything is signed. Send it plain and you end up arguing about which version was on the table — or watching the pricing you shared for review turn up somewhere else entirely.
A faint line of text across the middle changes that. The recipient can still read every number, but nobody is in any doubt about what kind of document they're holding.
Step by step
- 1Save the quote as a PDF — "Save as → PDF" from your spreadsheet or word processor is enough.
- 2Open the watermark tool with the button below and upload that PDF.
- 3Type the words you want across it: DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, FOR REVIEW.
- 4Adjust the opacity so the figures underneath stay readable, then download.
Worth knowing first
- The watermark lands in the centre of every page at 45 degrees. Position and angle aren't adjustable.
- The default opacity is 25%. Darker is more visible, but check that it doesn't obscure the prices.
- This watermark is drawn into the page content, so our own Remove PDF Watermark tool won't take it off. Keep an unmarked copy of the original.
- Everything runs in your browser. A quote with your pricing on it is never uploaded to a server.
